Jimmy Rodger's recordings with ukulele

Dear Old Sunny South by the Sea (1928)

Treasure's untold (1928)

My late brother Allan Stephen Hobbs (1956-1998) sang this song. He sang it well. Better than i can or ever could. I neglected my little brother. He should have been a star but instead he fell into hard times that killed him. While the world rushed by.

The Brakeman's Blues (1928) - can't find a copy where i can hear the ukulele)

Whisper your mother's name (1929)

Looking for a new mama (1931)

Cause for Palestine - theft and murder r1

An updated version, with words and chords

Jewish Scholar Norman Finkelstein Says ‘Israel Is A Nation Of Murderers’ Loved By The Far Right

      Dm               Am
You hearken to a call from God
         C                           G
that's sworn to by some lying sod
     Dm              Am
it's just another big con job
         C           G             Dm
that's built on theft and murder

why can't you see it's genocide
of anyone who you decide's
essential to God's great design
all built on theft and murder

the chosen people so they say
will show us how and light the way
but i see bloodshed every day
that looks like theft and murder

So join the cause of Palestine
don't wait until there's no more time
your heartless end of times design
is simply theft and murder

No use cryin, no use tryin the telephone

In the afternoon i'm workin all alone
In the afternoon i'm working all alone
no use cryin, no use tryin the telephone

I've been waitin, i've been waitin a long long time
I've been waitin, honey i've been waitin a long long time
since you went away i've been out of my mind

in the evenin when the sun looks good goin down
in the evenin sugar when the sun looks good goin down
look for you baby but you're nowhere to be found

I've been waitin, I've been waitin for you to come home
I've been waitin, i've been waitin for you to come home
no use cryin, no use tryin the telephone

in the mornin when i reach for you in bed
in the mornin honey when i reach for you in bed
it's not you honey pie it's somebody else instead

here's a q n d - hope to improve on it

words are kinda flexible - kinda make them upish as i go along though it's gravitating to a regular set now
